First off you have to be realistic.If you want blazing speaker sound for under 40.00 your out of your mind.However these are very nice for the price. I have them hooked right now in the basement to my Pioneer 100 watt stereo.I get back into my collection of vinyl and I wanted a decent set of speakers for the moment. In the spring these puppies are going outside.Anyway, I will be a pretty decent classic rock sounds listend. Your not going to get big thundering bass out of these, but they sound respectable at a high volume.You can not go wrong with these really. .
