This camera is/was my first digital camera I've bought.It's easy to use as a camera and also, I discoverd, as a video camera.Short videos I took so many whose memories for a lifetime! I hate to say Ive fallen, even this camera twice in 2-1/2 years I have had and the little darling still works fine! (the second time he fell down the vinyl covered - lucky me - steps of a bus!) that was capable of taking great shots in Costa Rica only after having had the camera about 1-1/2 weeks before the trip! I recommend this camera to all, especially for beginners. I've gotten lots of compliments on the camera and its pictures..
